I agree with everything consumers have discussed the wonderful video quality for this camera. But There is two things I aren’t keen on:
1) There is no neck tie, nor in whatever way to attach one. I was getting one of those tethers of which fastens towards tripod adapter attach, but that is not a very elegant choice, and typically the camera will dangle ugly. I’m a male who goes on vacation that has a video camera and a DSLR. So You want a way to let go on the video camera while aiming stills. This can be described as sad oversight through Sony. They could have at least put a good post somewhere and bought the strap being an optional accessory.

2) Any image stabilization will be fabulous if you end up shooting with wide perspective. While walking alongside my wife, the picture looked like it has been shot using a Steadycam. But with out a tripod, when lens is at telephoto the image trembles as if there had been no graphic stabilization whatsoever. And since this lens is a fairly wide one, there will be lots for stuff where you’ll want a magnified shot. If that you’re handheld, you’ll need to steady yourself as best you could, since the camera’s software doesn’t help a lot.
Other compared with that, the camera is merely worth your five stars.
Strangely enough, Sony publicised an improved version, the XR560 for NAB, and assured it meant for April 2011 supply. It will present 64GB involving solid point out storage, versus 240GB on a hard drive through this camera. For my purposes (being carried out two-week summer vacations, etc.) the on-going camera can be what I need for its extended hard drive capacity, even if there is the remote chance of a hard disk drive failure, compared to solid point out. The Sony was a better for an older more overpriced Yamaha DTS amp as i needed the HDMI joints I was not expecting much through the £150 price level but purchased in this price wide variety as my lady did not understand the point of the usb ports all and also earache was not worth spending these days. I found the Sony was easy to connect plus was surprised at the great seem quality appearing out of this spending plan amp plus would state it sounded as good and when powerful as the previous £450 Yamaha. The mainly downside similarly to all amps is that there are to many settings together with I keep changing them in the event I feel missing an item. Overall one of the best £150 We have spent in many years.
