Lenovo G770 10372KU 17.3-Inch Laptop (Dark Brown) So to start out and about, after years of the actual desktop scene, i decided to give laptops a try. Naturally I heard many good stuff about Lenovo laptops, but i didn’ t really like his or her average 15. 3" inch screen sizes. I got hooked on the more larger 17. 3" inch screen sizes, so I thought this G770 will be my very first dive in to the laptop world, & went ahead & purchased it.
The 750gb 5400rpm drive handles the duty very well, but for more high-definition intensive tasks, i went ahead & replace it with a new 7200rpm one. It didn’ t suck up anymore battery power than the actual 5400rpm, at least i didn’ t notice a huge drop in battery life. I also went ahead & replace the 6gb ram memory with 8gb of ram memory, the extra memory is a nice satisfaction & provides a decent " buffer zone" for any multitasking you will do, which i do alot of. Multitasking is impressive on the i5 2410 2. 3ghz proc, this proc & the way its positioned makes it hard to upgrade for an 2830QM proc later on, but the power the idea draws is minimal & does everything with convenience, so not much of an complaint here. If you haven’ t noticed already, i like to tinker & upgrade components from stock, so if the initial stock parts aren’ t good enough to suit your needs i figure i could do this myself, & yes i do recognize the warranty might also been voided or so), then i suggest you upgrade. However the stock components ought to do fine for most parents needs.
The fan does run loud & hot if there is intensive multitasking happening, so i suggest a laptop cooler correctly. The noise it generate isn’ t that bothersome, as my room is reasonably quiet, you might not actually notice its running. Dell Inspiron 17RN i17RN-4709DBK I purchased a Dell Inspiron 17RN i17RN-4709DBK in a brick & mortar store then while i went online to dell’ s website I found you had to virtually remove every screw inside thing & pry the keyboard off in order to upgrade the hard push, or replace it in case it went south. That alone caused me to send back it without even pushing it in & turning it on. I always like to replace the slow 5400-rpm hard disks with faster ones regardless of whether it does cost me a little in battery life. That way if the particular faster drive I select does go south I still hold the original one that I could clone again. When manufactures make replacing hard disks & ram really difficult for me I simply vote with my pocketbook. I just purchased a new Toshiba P745-S4320 at a different brick & mortar for almost $100 a lot more. It has 1 a lesser amount of usb port, no e-SATA or bluetooth, but does have a new blue ray player & most importantly the memory & hard drive are readily available. (more…)
ASUS A53E-XA2 It is a good fast computer as is loads coming from a shutdown very fast. One problem I have will be the keyboard. The keys do not necessarily print on the very first strike. Some keys worse as compared to others. Sent the problem for you to ASUS & got back directions running a driver. Was not user welcoming. Did not work although decided that further directions from their website would not result in a fix. just have to work around the problem. (more…)
Toshiba Satellite L755-S5349 15.6-Inch LED Laptop – Fusion Finish in Matrix Silver Great laptop for everyday work with. I use it mostly for surfing the internet, videos, pictures, games, etc. I found it to get much smoother & faster than other laptops I have owned. I have no issue with running multiple programs at a time including streaming football online games & checking other scores as well. The image quality on the screen is amazing & having a full keyboard which has a 10 key really will come in handy.
I’ m not sure this computer is made for the hard core gamers around; but for the majority of us who work with laptops for everday work with (facebook, email, pics, videos, etc), you wont be able to discover a better value than this blog. (more…)
